The Diamond Devils drop a non league game to the visiting Watertown Red Devils 8-7.

 The Devils took an early lead. In the first, John Hilbelink started off the game with a walk. KC Johnson’s single to left scored John when the hit got way from the left fielder and rolled towards the fence.

In the second inning the Devils scored another run. This time TJ Aalid walked to start off the inning. Tom Fisk’s ground ball to second moved TJ to second. Jake Smith followed with a hit to right to move TJ to third. After a fly out to the catcher, John Hilbelink’s infield hit scored the only run of the inning.

 The Devils were forced to play catch up after the third inning as Watertown scored five runs and went on to score two more in the top of the fifth.

In the bottom of the fifth the Diamond Devils would get within two runs. Adam Gregg led off the inning with a double down the left field line. After a strike out, Lee Gregg singled to center scoring Adam from second. TJ Aalid followed with a double off of the left center fence. Tom Fisk scored Lee and moved TJ to third with a base hit to center. Jake Smith drove in the final run of the inning with a single to right field.   

The Red Devils scored the winning run in the top of the seventh however, the Diamond Devils would not go quietly scoring two runs in the bottom of the seventh. With one out Tom Fisk singled to right. After a strike out, Dan Boisclair singled to right putting runners at the corners. John Hilbelink doubled to center to score the final two runs of the game.
