The Diamond Devils feasted on the Buffalo pitching on Sunday at Don Timpe Field hitting five home runs in the game on the way to an 18-5 win.

The Devils sent 16 men to the plate scoring 12 of them. Ryan Dwyer started the game off with a double down the left field line. Adam Gregg singled in his at bat to put runners at the corners. Brad Mazer walked to the load the bases. Andrew Engebretson’s base hit scored the first two runs of the inning. Lee Gregg got a hold of a fat 3-1 pitch and cleared the pine trees in left field for 3 RBIs. After a fly   out to left, Andrew Pratt walked and then moved up to third on
Craig Hawkinson’s double to right center. John Hilbelink walked to load the bases. Ryan Dwyer up for the second time in the inning scored a run when he was hit by a pitch. Adam Gregg would not let Lee have all the fun as he hit a 3-2 pitch for a grand slam to left field. With a ten spot on the board the Devils did not let up as Brad Mazer singled to left. Andrew Engebretson just missed a home run with a deep fly out to right for the second out of the inning. Lee Gregg not to be outdone by his brother’s grand slam hit his second home run of the inning this time with a drive to center field to end the scoring for the inning.

 The next homerun would come in the fifth inning. With two outs
Andrew Pratt hit a double to center field. Craig Hawkinson liked the first pitch that he saw and lined a 2 run homerun to left field.

The Devils added the final three runs of the game in the sixth inning. Mike Rippberger led off the inning with a walk. Chad Edworthy was hit by a pitch to put runners at second and first. Andrew Engebretson drilled the final homerun of the game to left center.
