Andrew Engebretson had a big night at the plate belting two home runs as the Devils win the game 4-3.

Andrew started off the second inning taking a hanging two strike pitch and depositing the ball over the left center fence giving the Devils a one run lead.

The Devils would not score again until the sixth inning. Dan Boisclair led off the inning with a single down the left field line. Adam Gregg followed with a single into left to put runners at second and first. Andrew Engebretson drive to deep right center allowing Dan to move up to third base. A wild pitch scored Dan and moved Adam up to second. Lee Gregg doubled to left center scoring Adam for the final run of the inning.

The Lakers scored an unearned run off the winning pitcher Paul Kunz in the bottom of the sixth. With two outs and the bases loaded an error at short allowed the Lakers to break the ice. Paul came back in the next at bat to record a strike out to minimize the damage.

The Devils added another run in the top of the eighth on the second home run of the game for Andrew Engebretson as he unloaded on the first pitch that he saw and drove it into the trees in left field.

The Lakers would not go quietly as they were able to score two runs in the bottom of the eighth. The Lakers were able to end Paul’s night after a walk, single and double. With one run in and runners at third and second, TJ Aalid entered the game. The first batter that TJ faced flew out to Lee Gregg in right field. The Lakers tried to score the runner from third however, Lee’s throw from right had the runner by 15 feet at home plate. Two batters later the Lakers did get a hit to right to score the final run of the game as TJ earned the hold. Adam Gregg pitched the ninth facing just three batters while picking up the save.
