Despite collecting only three hits the Diamond Devils scored nine runs with the help of nine walks and four hit by pitches.

KC Johnson scored the only run the Devils would need in the second inning. With two outs, KC was able to reach first base when the ball skipped off the top of the first baseman’s glove. With a walk to Ryan Dywer , a hit by pitch in Dan Boisclair’s time at the plate and Craig Hawkinson walking, KC scored courtesy of a wild pitch.   

The Devils added four more runs in the third. John Hilbelink and Adam Gregg walked to start off the inning. After a fly out to center Lee Gregg was hit by a pitch to load the bases. KC Johnson drove in two runs with a double that one hopped the fence in center field. Another run would score on another wild pitch. Craig Hawkinson scored the final run of the game with a single plating KC.

In the next inning the Devils managed to score another run. Once again John Hilbelink walked to start off an inning. With John on the run Adam Gregg grounded out to the pitcher.

Andrew Engebretson scored John from second with a base hit to
center field.   

The final three runs scored in the fifth inning. Ryan Dwyer, Dan Boisclair and Craig Hawkinson walked in their times at the plate to load the bases. Andrew Pratt hit the ball to third however, the relay to home was dropped by the catcher. John Hilbelink drove a ball to short but with the fielders unable to make the backhand play allowed a run to score and keep the bases loaded. Andrew Engebretson was hit by a pitch scoring the final run of the game.

Paul Kunz picked up another win pitching five innings on 78 pitches. Brandon Schliinz came out throwing gas in the final two innings to finish off the game.
