The Devils gave up eight runs. However, only three runs were earned. Even without the unearned runs the Larks would still have come out on top as the Devils could only manage to score two runs.

The Larks opened up the game scoring three runs in the first inning with only one being earned courtesy of an error and a pass ball.

The Devils scored two runs in the third inning to tighten up the game. Ryan Dwyer started off the inning getting hit by a pitch. Billy Soule singled to center to give the Devils runners at the corners. Billy Soule stole second base and when the ball rolled into center, Ryan scored and Billy moved up to third. After a line out to the pitcher, Adam Gregg scored Billy on a sacrifice fly to left.

The remaining runs were scored by the Larks. An unearned run scored in the fourth and added four more in the seventh to put the game away.
