The Devils started the scoring in the second inning when Luke Hagen singled to center. Jeff Pitzenberger moved Luke up to second when he singled to left field. Two batters later, Tom Fisk slapped a pitch to right field scoring Luke and nearly scoring Jeff. However, a good throw to home got Jeff at the plate.

KC Johnson was hit in the back of the head by a pitch. Lee Gregg walked to load the bases. Luke Hagen grounded a ball to the third baseman but his throw to home hit Adam in the hand and rolled to the fence allowing two runs to score. Kyle Tengesdul drove in the final run of the inning on a ground ball to short.

The River Bandits scored a couple of unearned runs in the fourth and the Devils responded in the bottom of the inning with a run in the bottom half of the inning. Tom Fisk doubled into the right center gap. Adam Gregg singled to left to put runners at the corners. KC Johnson sacrificed to right field to score Tom from third.

The River Bandits scored all the runs necessary to win the game in the fifth inning. The Bandits would load the bases with one out on two walks, a hit by pitch and a base hit.
