If you like pitchers duels then this game was not for you.

The Larks jumped out to a three run lead in the bottom of the first. Brandon Scanlon doubled and then stole third. Kent Koch walked before Eric Schutte singled to score the first run. Joey Althoff's single drove in the next run. Tyler Maher reached first on a fielder's choice and Reed Pawelk's sacrifice fly to center scored the final run.

The Devils scored their first run of the game in the second inning. Lee Gregg walked and then came around to score on three wild pitches.

The Devils closed the gap in the third inning scoring two runs. Ryan Dwyer led off the inning with a walk. KC Johnson singled to center but an error by Brandon Scanlon in center allowed Ryan to score and KC to move up to third. Tom Fisk scored KC on a ground ball to short.

The Larks scored another run in the bottom of the third on two walks and a base hit to right center.

The Larks in the fourth scored another run on a base hit to right, a stolen base and two fly balls to right field.

The Larks scored three more runs in the fifth. Joey Althoff homered to left. After a fly out to center, Reed Pewalk walked and Luke Steinbach singled to right center. Both runners moved up a base as the right fielder kicked the ball. The second out was recorded on a ground ball to first. Nathan Maher drove in Reed on a single to right and Brandon Scanlon scored Luke with a base hit to center.

The Larks added two more runs in the sixth. With one out, Joey Althoff singled to left. Tyler Maher singled to left and was followed by a run scoring single by Reed Pewalk. After a walk, Herb Koch, Jr's ground ball to second scored the final run of the inning.

The Devils responded with three runs in the top of the seventh. Ryan Dwyer led off the inning with a walk. KC Johnson singled down the left field line. Tom Fisk drove in Ryan with a double to left center. Adam Gregg singled to left to score KC. Lee Gregg walked before Pat McPherson scored their final run of the game on a sacrifice fly to right.

The Larks tacked on a meaningless run in the bottom half of the eighth as the Devils had no response in the ninth inning.
