The Diamond Devils' pitcher for the Saturday afternoon game usually fairs pretty well in Hinckley.

Although it could have been different this year as the Diamond Devils rode the arm of pitcher Billy Soule. Of the twenty one outs in the seven inning game, Billy struck out fourteen batters with half of them looking. But even with the impressive strikeout total the Devils found themselves down by a run as Billy gave up a run on one hit and three walks in the sixth inning.

It took the hitters until the six inning of the second game of the Hinckley tournament to finally score a run. Billy Soule led off the inning with a base hit. After a fly out to first, KC Johnson and Lee Gregg hit back to back doubles to score the two runs needed to win the game.
