The Diamond Devils and Watertown Red Devils exchange big innings but the Diamond Devils prevail winning 8-7.

After the second inning it looked as the though the Devils were going to walk away with an easy win after scoring seven runs. Pat McPherson started off the inning with a walk. Trent Holmquist followed with his first hit as a Devil on a single to right. Craig Hawkinson was hit by a pitch to load the bases. Kyle Tengesdul drove the first pitch in his at bat to deep left center for a grand slam. After a fly out to short, Billy Soule in his first game back from the Gophers, singled to left. An error at third base in Ryan Dwyer's at bat gave the Devils runners at first and second. A wild pitch moved the runner up a base before KC Johnson scored them with a double to left field. Lee Gregg's single put runners at the corners. Pat McPherson in his second time at the plate in the inning scored the final run with a sacrifice fly to right field.

The Red Devils mounted a comeback over the next two innings scoring a single run in the third and six in the fourth. The Red Devils showed patience at the plate picking up five walks in those two innings and had just enough on their swings as none of their six singles were hit particularly hard off of the Devils starting pitcher Lee Gregg.

Ryan Dwyer picked up the win while pitching one inning as the Devils scored in the bottom of the fifth. With one out Pat McPherson singled to right field. Trent Holmquist was hit by a pitch and Craig Hawkinson loaded the bases with a bunt single down the left field line. Kyle Tengesdul drove in the winning run on a fielder's choice to second base.

Dan Boislclair made his pitching debut picking up the save while blanking the Red Devils in the sixth and seventh inning.
