The Diamond Devils six run seventh inning was the difference in defeating a much improved Albertville team.
 
The Devils and Villains exchanged runs in the fourth inning. The Villains' Jeff Jarvis led off the inning with a single that went off of the Devils' Tom Fisk's right cheekbone at third base. Todd Klaers moved Jeff up to second on a slow moving ground ball to first. Dan Brant's double to center scored the first run of the game.
 
The Devils answered in the bottom half of the inning. Lee Gregg's fly ball to left was lost in the sun resulting in a double. TJ Aalid sac bunt down the first base line moved Lee to third. Pat McPherson single to right to score the tying run.
 
The Villains regained the lead in the top of the seventh when Dan Brant doubled into the right field corner and then scored on a Drew Bebus single to center.
 
The Devils scored all the runs they would need in the bottom of the seventh. Dan Boisclair started off the inning with a double into the left center gap. Jeff Pitzenberger bunted Dan to third. Craig Hawkinson tied the game with a double into right center field. KC Johnson was intentionally walked putting runners at first and second. Ryan Dwyer hitting the injured Tom Fisk's spot singled to center to score Craig from second. Lee Gregg scored the eventual winning run on a single to right field. TJ Aalid followed with another single this time to center to score Ryan from second. After a ground out to second; Kyle Tengesdul, Dan Boisclair and Jeff Pitzenberger walked to score the final two runs of the inning.
 
The Devils and Villains each scored runs in the eighth inning ending the game with a score of 8-3.
