The Diamond Devils and Polecats battled for nineteen innings with the Devils prevailing with a 4-3 win.
 
The Devils start off the scoring in the first inning. With two outs, Adam Gregg singled to right center and then moved up to second on a Lee Gregg single to left. Andrew Pratt singled down the left field line scoring Adam from second base.
 
The Polecats tied the game scoring an unearned run off the Devils' starting pitcher Paul Kunz in the sixth inning. Up until the sixth inning Paul had faced two over the minimum fifteen batters giving up one hit and hitting one batter. The first batter of the sixth inning would reach first on a fielding error the first of three errors in the inning. The runner was advanced to second on a sacrifice bunt and then scored on a Chris Hardie single to right.
 
Dan Boisclair The Devils regained the lead in the eighth inning. Adam Gregg led off the inning with a ball fielded by the third baseman; however, the throw to first was in the dirt and skipped down into foul territory allowing Adam to reach second base. With the next flying out, TJ Ailed scored Adam on a single down the left field line.
 
The Polecats tied the game in the top of the ninth with another unearned run. The first batter of the inning hit a ball fielded by the Devils’ third baseman but the throw sailed over the first baseman allowing the runner to move up to second. A sac bunt in the next at bat moved the runner ninety feet closer. After a line out to short, Adam Holt singled off of the Devils' Pat McPherson to tie the game.
 
Paul Kunz and Chad Edworthy In the top of the eleventh inning, Eric Schreifels hit a homerun to left center giving the Polecats a 3-2 lead.
 
The Devils answered with a run in the bottom of the eleventh. Craig Hawkinson grounded to short but the ball was bobbled allowing Craig to reach first. Kyle Tengesdul put down a sac bunt but a throwing error by the pitcher gave the Devils runners at second and third. Dan Boisclair singled to center to score the tying run. On the play the Devils went for the win but Kyle was thrown out at the plate as he tried to score from second base.
 
The Devils scored the final run in the nineteenth. With one out, Adam Gregg walked in his plate appearance. An error at short gave the Devils runners at first and second. Andrew Pratt was hit by a pitch to load the bases. With the infield drawn in, TJ Aalid hit a ground ball to third. The third baseman's throw was on target but the catcher dropped the ball handing the Devils a 4-3 win.
