The Diamond Devils behind the pitch of Adam Gregg and Brandon Schliinz were able to hold off the Polecats and take the game in fourteen innings.

The Devils took the lead in the second inning. With one out, Andrew Pratt drew a walk. After a strike out, Adam Gregg singled and moved up to second as a throw to third in an attempt to get Andrew at third was late. Brandon Schliinz drove in both runners as he triple to right center field.

The Polecats scored an unearned run in the bottom of the sixth on a walk, pass ball and an error at short.

The Devils added a run in the eighth inning. With one out, Adam Gregg singled and then stole second base before he scored on two wild pitches.

With a two run lead Adam Gregg gave way to Brandon Schliinz who has pitched only two innings so far this season. Brandon gave up single runs in the first two innings in which he pitched but then got into the grove and gave up one more hit in the next five innings picking up the win.

The Devils scored the game winning run in the top of the fourteen. Lee Gregg led off the inning with a double to right center. Ryan Dywer laid down a sac bunt that was fielded by the pitcher. On the play, the pitcher’s throw to first went into right field allowing Lee to score the game ending run.
