The Devils’ Adam Gregg had a perfect game through six innings as he struck out thirteen of the first eighteen batters that he faced.

After the last game between the Devils and River Bandits, Adam overheard something said by an Orono graduate, who now plays for Rockford that did not sit well with him. From that point, Adam wanted the next start between the two teams and he did not disappoint as he had a perfect game through six innings on 62 pitches. Despite getting two more strike outs in the seventh, Adam was starting to lose some steam and gave up a single run in the inning. Brandon Schliinz pitched the final two innings allowing a run in the eighth.

The Devils scored all the runs they would need in the top of the sixth inning. Adam Gregg led off the inning with a base hit. An error at short gave the Devils runners at first and second. Andrew Engebretson’s three run homerun for the most part did in the Bandits.

The Devils added two more runs in the seventh inning. Craig Hawkinson started off the inning with a double. Andrew Pratt singled to score Craig. After a double play to clear the bases, Adam Gregg ripped a homerun into the pines causing Young Lou Hokinson to call out ‘See Ya’.
