The Diamond Devils were in a tight game with Hutchinson leading 3-2 going into the bottom of the eighth. In their time at the plate the Devils sent up ten batters scoring six runs for a 9-2 victory.

KC Johnson scored the first run of the game on a monster blast to left center in the fourth inning.

Hutch tied it up in the top of the sixth. Brooks Albrecht led off with a base hit. An out later, Jordan Scharze single moved Brooks up to third. In the next at bat
Jordan took off for second. Adam Gregg tried to pick off Dan Boisclair’s throw down to second as Brooks was taking off from third, but the throw went off of the top of Adam’s glove allowing the run to score.

The Devils scored another run in the sixth inning. After the first two hitters were retired, Ryan Dwyer walked and proceeded to second on a stolen base. Andrew Pratt’s base hit scored Ryan from second.

The Devils added an additional run in the seventh inning. Matt
Goodwald singled with one out. A pass ball and a wild pitch allowed Matt to reach third base before Brandon Schliinz doubled to score Matt.

Hutch scored their final run of the game in the eighth after two outs. A Luke Klitzke base hit and Tim Thode double did the damage for the Huskies.

TheDevils put it out of reach in the bottom half of the inning. Ryan Dwyer led off with a base hit. Andrew Pratt was hit by a pitch giving the Devils runners at second and first. Pat McPherson’s batted ball was fielded by the pitcher forcing an out at third. Dan Boisclair walked loading the bases. Matt Goodwald singled scoring Andrew. A strike out later, Brandon Schliinz walked to score Pat. Adam Gregg’s single to right scored Dan and Matt. Lee Gregg doubled to left center scoring the final two runs of the game.
