For the thanks for coming trophy, a game that nobody was really enthusiastic about playing. The Diamond Devils came up short 5-4, after two fun, hot and humid days and even longer nights.

Lacking a little sleep the Devils gave up four runs in the top of the first. However, they shook it off and answered with three runs in the bottom half of the inning. In what was looking like a high scoring game turned out to be fairly tame as both teams only managed to score one more run apiece. The Devils had their chances to blow it open but could not get the hits when they needed them as 12 runners were left on base with seven of them in scoring position.
