Just when you think things can’t get worse, they do. The Devils followed up on the most inept game in recent memory by committing more errors than hits, 2 errors on one hit, while striking out 10 times in 23 plate appearances. Manager John Timpe, pictured on the right was most disappointed when a batter was thrown out at first by the right fielder.

It was so bad at one point John said, “I don’t want to see any ballplayers partying tonight. If I am at the Firehouse, I don’t want to see any players in there.” At that point Mike Rippberger quips, “John, why don’t you give us your itinerary and we’ll work around it.”

Overall the Devils played like a bunch of girls who had never seen a baseball before. After the game, a few decided to get the operation over with, just in time for the parade in Minneapolis on Sunday.
