The Devil’s Brandon Schliinz shutdown the Hamburg Hawks on the mound and then put the nails in the coffin with a two run homerun in the bottom of the sixth.

Brandon had the Hawks stymied through the first five innings as no Hawks had reached second base. However in the sixth, the Hawks were able to breakthrough with a run on two walks and a flare to left. But it was too little too late as the Devils hitters built a nine run lead. All but two Devils starting hitters had at least one hit and all but two scored at least one run. Matt Goodwald, Matt Duenwald and Mike Hokanson had two hits apiece. Adam Gregg went three for four with two runs scored.
