Adam Gregg, who helped Green Isle to the 2003 State Championship, shut down the Irish to advance the Diamond Devils.

The Devils scored all the runs they would need to win the game in the second inning. Andrew Engebreston started the inning with a walk on four pitches. Brad Mazer hit his first of two doubles in the game to move Andrew to third. Matt Duenwald followed Brad with a two run RBI single to right center to end the scoring for the Devils.

Brad Mazer Scoring Two runs would be all that Adam would need as he faced 23, two over the minimum, giving up one hit and one walk in seven innings. Green Isle scored their only run in the eighth courteously of an error.

Adam started the ninth but after an Irish batter hit a good pitch for a base hit, gave away to Adam Koch. The draftee from Howard Lake struck out the first batter he faced, gave up a base hit and then got the next two batters out on a fly ball to left and a pop up to the first baseman to end the game.
