The Hinckley Tournament has always been a mid season team bonding trip for the Devils. The goal is to have fun. With that said, this game had the feel of a playoff game with fans loud and excited.

The Devils faced the best pitcher of the year and it showed in the box score. The Devils only had four hits with fourteen strikeouts. The Devils best scoring opportunity came in the fourth inning. With two outs, Brad Mazer and Joey Wood had back-to-back hits. Ryan Dwyer was hit by a pitch in the next at bat to load the bases but another strikeout in the next at bat cost the Devils a win.

Andrew Pratt pitched his best game since joining the team. In the seven innings pitched, not one Elko player made it past second base. On the 116 pitches, Andrew walked four while striking out six. Jay Homuth pitched the last two innings giving up an unearned run in the top on the ninth.
