Adam Gregg was part of both Diamond Devils scoring plays and pitched the last two innings to earn the victory.

The Devil pitchers saved the day as the batters could not get anything going against Buffalo’s Nate Hill and Ed Cox. The Devil’s Pat McPherson pitched nine innings giving up one earned run in the third inning. Although Pat gave up nine hits, he did not walk a batter. CJ Goodwald, in his Diamond Devils pitching debut, pitched two scoreless innings before the game was postponed because of darkness.

On Sunday, Adam Gregg pitched the final two innings. In the first inning Adam pitched, Buffalo came out swinging and punched two base hits. After the third batter sacrificed to move the runners up, the Devils pulled the infield in and Adam got the next hitter to ground out to second. To end the threat Adam struck out the next batter to finish the inning.

Adam also figured in both runs of the game for the Devils. In the sixth, he hit a double to KC Johnson from second base. In the twelfth, he led of the inning with a double and scored on single by Matt Duenwald.
