It did not take long for the Devils to get ahead in the game.  The first six batters in the first inning recorded a base hit and all of them scored as the Devils took a six run lead by the time the inning had ended.

The Devils added three more runs in the third inning on a Luke Hagen three run blast over the right field fence.

After a two run fourth, Ben Smith led off the fifth inning with a home run to right field.  Later in the inning, Luke Hagen collected his fifth RBI of the game, this time on a triple to deep center field.

In the sixth inning the Devils scored thirteen more runs.  The first three batters walked loading the bases.  Ben Smith singled to right to score a run.  KC Johnson just missed a grand slam by a foot as the ball hit the fence in left center scoring three runs.  After a strike out, Ryan Jakubov walked to put runners at first and second.  Luke Hagen completed the cycle with a double to center scoring two more runs.  Later in the inning the Devils found themselves with the bases loaded again.  Lee Gregg cleared the bases with a grand slam to left field.
