Adam Gregg and Pat McPherson combine for a two hit shutout to advance the Diamond Devils to the Regional playoffs.

The Devil hitters scored all the runs necessary to win the game in the sixth inning. With one out, KC Johnson singled to left. Lee Gregg walked to put runners at first and second. Tom Fisk was hit by a pitch to load the bases. A wild pitch in TJ Aalid's plate appearance scored the eventual winning run. TJ went on to walk to reload the bases. After a fly out to second, Ryan Dwyer scored the final run of the inning on a single to center.

Two innings later the Devils expanded the lead. Lee Gregg led off the inning with a single to center. Brandon Walker replaced Lee at first and went on to steal second on a bad bunt attempt by Tom Fisk. Tom made up for it by driving a ball to right to move Brandon up to third. With the throw going to third, Tom moved up to second. TJ Aalid scored Brandon from third on a sacrifice fly to center. On the play, Tom took third on the throw to home. Matt jakubov scored the second run of the inning with a single to center. After a change of pitchers, Matt moved up to second and then scored on a base hit to right from Luke Hagen.

The Devils scored the final run of the game in the ninth inning. KC Johnson led off the inning with a double to deep center field. After a fly out and a strike out, TJ Aalid bounced a ball between the mound and short. The shortstop fielded the ball on the run but bounced the ball in front of the first baseman. TJ kicked into right field as he was crossing the base to score the final run of the game.
