The Devil's Adam Gregg and Tom Fisk shutdown the Delano A's giving up just four hits on the way to a 1-0 victory.

The Delano A's Joey Althoff and the Diamond Devils' pitchers Adam Gregg and Tom Fisk found themselves in a pitcher's duel with the only run scoring in the top of the ninth. The Devils had the first opportunity to score the game’s first run in the top of the seventh. With one out, Ryan Jakubov doubled over the fielder in right field. After a strike out, Ryan Dwyer singled to right. The Devils took a chance and tried to score Ryan but a perfect throw nipped Ryan at home to end the inning.

Adam Gregg has a no hitter going through five innings before the A's were able to collect their first two hits. In the seventh, the A's had their best chance to take the lead. With bases loaded and no outs, Adam was able to get the first out on a short fly to right that was not deep enough to score the runner from third. The A's tried a suicide squeeze. However, the pitch was high and outside to provide the second out as the Devils' catcher Jeff Pitzenberger ran down the runner trying to get back to third. A ground out to first ended the A's scoring chances.

The Devils scored the only run in the top of the ninth. KC Johnson led off the inning with a fly ball to left center. The center fielder overran the ball and fell to his knees as he dropped the ball. Lee Gregg was able to get a ball bunted but the pitcher hit him in the back to give the Devils runners at first and second. After a failed bunt attempt for an out, Ryan Jakubov singled to right and this time the throw to home was not in time.

The A's would not go quietly in the bottom of the ninth. The A's first batter singled to right. A sacrifice bunt moved the runner into scoring position. A runner's gaff cost the A's as the runner tried to advance to third on a ground ball to short. KC Johnson's throw to Ryan Jakubov was on the mark and the A's were down to their last out. With the next batter walking, the A's had runners at first and second but a fly ball to center ended the game.
