Mound scored all of their runs after two outs while defeating the Diamond Devils 4-3.

The Devils' starting pitcher Pat McPherson pitched well enough to the get the win but the Mallards were tough with two outs in an inning. In the first inning, Andy Snyder lined a two run homerun over the left field fence. In the second inning, Pat got the first two batters out but a double and a single to center scored another run. Again in the fourth, Pat got the first two batters out but Mound went on to score on a single, stolen base and another single. None of the singles were hit particularly well.

The Diamond Devils put together a rally in the fifth. Kyle Tengesdul led off the inning by getting hit by a pitch. Jeff Pitzenberger followed with a hard line drive that was knocked down by the pitcher. The ball rolled behind the mound just far enough away for Jeff to earn a base hit. A pass ball moved the runners up a base which gave Luke Hagen an opportunity to earn an RBI on a sacrifice fly to left field. Andrew Miller singled to center to score Jeff. An error at short gave the Devils runners at first and second. After a fly out to center, Lee Gregg singled to left to score the Devils' final run.
