The Diamond Devils came out swinging, going deep into the Larks' bullpen and scored in every inning but two on their way to a 15-8 win.

In the first inning Ryan Dwyer led off the game with a walk. After a deep fly out to left, Tom Fisk hit his first home run as Diamond Devil.

The Devils added another run in the second inning. With one out, Andrew Miller pulled a ball down the left field line for a double. TJ Aalid drove in Andrew on a base hit.

The Devils added three more runs in the third inning. With one out, Adam Gregg legged out a base hit on a ball hit to the third baseman. Lee Gregg followed with sharp single to left field. Pat McPherson moved Adam and Lee up a base on a ground ball to first. Andrew Miller loaded the bases with walk in his time at the plate. TJ Aalid earned his second RBI of the game when he walked. Kyle Tengesdul drove in Lee with a base hit to right field. In the next at bat, Ryan Dwyer was hit by a pitch to score the final run of the inning.

The Devils added two more runs in the top of the fifth. Pat McPerson pulled a ball over the right fielder for a double to star off the inning. Jeff Pitzenberger replaced Pat at second before Andrew Miller chopped a ball to short. On the play, the shortstop thought about going to third but elected to go to first but Andrew beat out the throw. The Devils loaded the bases when TJ Aalid walked. Kyle Tengesdul drove in his second run of the game when he singled down the right field line. Ryan Dwyer scored the final run of the inning on a sacrifice fly to left field.

Up to this point the Devils' starting pitcher Pat McPherson had the Larks off balance as he had a no hitter going however the Larks got their first hit and first run in the fifth. Tyler Maher led off the inning with a ground ball to second and was able to reach first on an error. Ben Scanlon walked putting runners at first and second. After a fly out to right, Nathan Maher drove in Tyler with a base hit just out of the reach of the second baseman.

The Devils responded in the top of the sixth with two more runs. With one out, Adam Gregg ripped a ball into left field. Lee Gregg walked putting runners at first and second. Pat McPherson walked to load the bases. After a change of pitchers, the Devils scored the eventual game winning run on a wild pitch. Andrew Miller walked to load the bases again. After a fly out to first, Kyle Tensgesdul walked scoring the final run of the inning.

The Larks ended Pat's day on the mound in the bottom of the sixth. Eric Schutte led off the inning with a base hit down the right field line. Joey Althoff’s hard hit single just past the third baseman put runners at first and second. After a fly out to right, Tyler Maher doubled to deep center field scoring two runs. In the Larks next at bat, Ben Scanlon hit a ball into shallow right center that was dropped by the Devils' second baseman. After a fly out to right field, Nathan Maher singled up the middle to score the Larks' final run of the inning.

The Devils saw three different pitchers in the top of the seventh on their way to scoring three more runs. Ryan Dwyer led off the inning with a walk. KC Johnson singled down the left field line giving the Devils runners at first and second. Tom Fisk singled to center but the throw from Brandon Scanlon cut down Ryan on a controversial out at home, one of three at the plate on the day for the Devils. With the runners moving up a base on the throw home, Adam Gregg singled to right scoring a run. On the play, the throw home allowed the runners to move up a base. Lee Gregg singled to left scoring another run. With Adam at third, Andrew Pratt who was hitting in Pat McPherson's spot scored the final run of the inning on a soft ground ball to third.

After a scoreless inning for both teams in the eighth, the Devils and Larks exchanged two runs in the ninth inning. The Devils' Tom Fisk and Adam Gregg walked. Lee Gregg loaded the bases with a base hit to center. Andrew Pratt's ground ball to short scored the first run. Andrew Miller scored the final run on a ground ball to second.

The Larks scored two unearned runs off of the Devils' second relief pitcher Paul Kunz. Ryan Schaust led off the inning with a base hit to center. An error at second put runners at first and second. After a fly out to first, Herb Koch, Jr. singled to right field to load the bases. Another error at second allowed the first run of the inning. A ground out to second scored the final run of the game as the next batter lined out to short to end the game.
