The Diamond Devils scored all the runs they would need in the fifth inning to defeat Delano 3-2.

The Devils received some outstanding pitching from Judson McKown and Lee Gregg as they gave up only two runs in nine innings. Judson gave up one run in the third inning as he pitched six and one third innings picking up the win.

The Devils hitters gave Judson the win when they scored three runs in the fifth inning. With two outs, Kyle Tengesdul started off the rally with a walk. Ryan Dwyer fisted a ball into right field to put runners at the corners. KC Johnson put the Devils in the lead with a double to the fence in left center. Tom Fisk drove in the game winning run with a double down the left field line.

Lee Gregg relieved Judson in the seventh inning and was on cruise control until the ninth inning. With one out in the ninth, Lee walked a batter and gave up a single to center to put runners at first and second. Lee then hit the next two batters to give the A's a run. Lee earned the save when he struck out the next batter and then got the next batter ground out back to him on the mound.
