The Diamond Devils and Larks are two evenly matched baseball teams. The difference between a win and loss was two walks and hit batter during the Larks five run sixth inning.

The Larks grabbed the first lead of the game in the second inning. Tyler Maher led off the inning with a double deep into the left center gap. After two outs in the next two at bats, Herb Koch, Jr. hit a ground ball in the direction of first was knocked down on a diving play by first baseman TJ Aalid. However, the ball rolled towards the second baseman as Tyler crossed the plate.

The Devils came back in the top of the third scoring four runs. TJ Aalid started off the inning with a base hit down the left field line. Dan Boisclair grounded a ball to third forcing TJ at second but the throw to first was not in time. After a fly out toward, KC Johnson singled to left center. Billy Soule scored Dan from second and moved KC up to third on a base hit to right center. Billy was caught off first in a pickoff move but the throw from the first baseman sailed into left field scoring KC and gave second base to Billy. Adam Gregg grounded a ball to third but a throwing error extended the Devils inning. Tom Fisk ripped a ball to left scoring Billy. Lee Gregg followed with a run scoring single to center ending the scoring for the Devils.

The Larks scored an unearned run in the fifth inning. The Larks had two on with no outs when Brandon Scanlon hit a line drive towards the shortstop. The Devils shortstop saw a triple play coming but took his eyes off the ball as the ball skipped off the top of his glove and rolled into left center. By the time the ball was fielded Herb Koch, Jr. had crossed the plate.

The Larks big inning was the sixth as they scored five runs. Reed Pewelk smoked a ball down the left field line to open the inning. Tyler Maher walked and Ryan Schaust followed with a sacrifice bunt putting runners at second and third. Ben Scanlon was hit by a pitch loading the bases. After a strike out, Nathan Maher walked forcing in a run. Brandon Scanlon scored two runs with a base hit into left center. An error at short in the next at bat extended the Larks inning and Eric Schutte would make the Devils pay as he knocked in the final Larks' run on a base hit to left field.

The Devils scored their final run of the game in the eighth inning. Lee Gregg reached first base on a error at short. Andrew Miller doubled deep drive to right field. TJ Aalid scored the run on a ground ball to short.
