After four plus innings the Diamond Devils were on the wrong end of a perfect game.

With two outs in the fourth inning the Devils’ Adam Gregg ended the perfect game bid on a walk. It would take until the fifth before the only runs of the game were to be scored. With one out, Craig Hawkinson walked for the Devils second runner of the game. Craig stole second before Dan Boisclair grounded a ball to short. But with the shortstop kicking the ball the Devils had runners at first and second. After a fly out to first, Judson McKown finally put an end to the no hitter with a single to right. With bases loaded, Billy Soule drove in two runs on a base hit to right center.

Judson McKown earned his first victory as a Diamond Devil as he pitched the entire game giving up no runs on four hits, two walks and four strike outs.
