The Diamond Devils struggled in the field early giving up three runs, two unearned, in the first three innings but Paul Kunz kept the Devils in the game by collecting 12 strike outs in this seven inning game.

Trialing 3-2 in the bottom of the sixth, the Devils sent nine batters to the plate on the way to scoring five runs putting the game away. Pat McPherson started off the inning with a walk. Vince Reuter walked in his time at the plate after Pat stole second base on a not by design delayed steal. Dan Boisclair sac bunted both runners up a base. Andrew Pratt scored  both runners with a single to left center. KC Johnson walked to put runners at first and second. Andrew Engebretson ripped a single to center field that skipped over the center fielder’s glove to score both Andrew and KC. With Andrew on second Brandon Schliinz singled to end the scoring for the game.
