For the first time this season the Diamond Devils trailed in a game and for the first time this year the Devils lost a game.

With the Devils trailing 6-0 in the bottom of the second, Brandon Schliinz unloaded with a home run to right. After two Devils outs, Lee Gregg singled. Dan Boisclair walked to put runners at first and second. Berry McCabbe drove in the final run of the inning with a base hit.  

The Devils tacked on another run in the third. With two outs, Craig Hawkinson walked and then scored on a Pat McPherson double into the right center gap.

After that point it was pretty much the Rocks as they scored four more in the fourth and one more in the sixth.

The Devil’s Berry McCabbe scored the final run for the Devils in the bottom of the seventh but it was too little too late.
