The Villains took a one nothing lead in the top of the third only to lose it in the bottom half of the inning as the Diamond Devils scored two runs and never looked back.

The Villains who finished seven games back of the Devils in the regular season scored the first run of the game. Josh Juntunen walked to start off the Villains. Rob Jaunich singled and Jason Juntunen drove in Josh with another Villain single to end the visitors scoring for the game.

Matt Goodwald started off the bottom half of the inning with a single and then stole second base. Matt would gain third when Adam Gregg reached first on an error by the third baseman. Adam went on to steal second to give the Devils runners at second and third. On a sac fly to center, Brandon Schliinz drove in a run. Andrew Pratt earned the game winning hit with a single to drive in Adam.

The Devils added another run in the fifth. Brandon Schliinz singled and then stole second on the next pitch. Andrew Pratt singled to move Brandon to third and Craig Hawkinson hit a sac fly to center to score Brandon.

The Devils extended the lead in the seventh. With Adam Gregg on first, Brandon Schliinz crushed a pitch to right center for a two run homerun.

Another run was added in the eighth when Ryan Dwyer led off with a single and would eventually score on three wild pitches.

CJ Goodwald earned the postseason victory going seven innings giving up one run on five hits, striking out three while walking one. Brandon Schliinz pitched the final two innings, striking out three of the seven batters faced while only walking one.
