Every Diamond Devil starter had a base hit and every Devil pinch hitter reached base. The hitters pounded out nineteen hits allowing the Devils to run away with the game and once again capture the North Star East title.

Four Devils had three hits apiece; Matt Goodwald, Brad Mazer, Brandon Schliinz and Andrew Pratt. Brad led the way in RBI’s with four followed by Craig Hawkinson with three.

Pat McPherson earned the victory pitching five innings giving up one earned run. Pat got into a bases loaded situation in the second inning after walking a batter and hitting two others but worked out of it with no runs scored. However, Rockford would nick Pat for a run in the bottom of the third on three straight hits. Paul Kunz finished the final two innings of the game, retiring every batter he faced.
