The Diamond Devils were out hit by the St. Boni Saints17 to 15 but the Saints only managed three runs as the Devils ended this one early 13 to 3 in seven innings.

Nearly every Devil got in on this hit parade. Leading the way in hits were Craig Hawkinson and CJ Goodwald with three hits apiece. Next were Matt Goodwald, Matt Duenwald, Andrew Pratt and Dan Boisclair with two hits each followed by KC Johnson with one hit.

Some of the highlights include Craig Hawkinson’s solo homerun in the third and then Craig’s two run double in the fourth. Dan Boisclair just missed a grand slam in the fifth as he hit the upper part of the fence in left center to clear the bases.

On the pitching side, Pat McPherson scattered fifteen hits giving up just three runs. Pat worked out of three bases loaded situations on his way to stranding 13 Saint base runners.

Ryan Dwyer, in his first pitching appearance of the season, was able to strand a runner at third when the game ended on a double play.
